Broward Celebrates Outstanding Employee

Since January 2008, Melissa McQuilkin has been a phenomenal member of the Best Buddies Florida team, beginning as Citizens Program Manager and within eight months earning a promotion to Broward Program Supervisor. Since 2008, in addition to programmatic responsibilities, Melissa has coordinated two Audi quattro Cup Golf Tournaments, three Best Buddies Days, and numerous successful Business Buddies events. She earned the Employee of the Month designation in August 2008 and October 2009.

At the 2009 Florida Staff Conference, Melissa was awarded the Program Supervisor of the Year award in recognition of her tremendous dedication and service to Best Buddies Broward and her contributions to Best Buddies Florida initiatives. In addition, Melissa has also been recognized by Best Buddies International in receiving the Extra Mile distinction in November 2009.
