Best Buddies Florida
Thursdays in the Best Buddies Jacksonville office have gotten a whole lot brighter. Each week, volunteer extraordinaire Sheila Lowry visits the Southpoint Business Center to help the Best Buddies Jacksonville Staff with various tasks. She has written countless thank you cards, drawn at least 100 pictures of what Best Buddies means to her and is responsible for getting 50 Jaguar Tickets donated for a Citizens Program Event!
Since participating in the Buddies United in Leadership Development training, Shelia has also taken on the role of head speaker at the Best Buddies Jacksonville events. Through her speaking engagements, she has inspired students at the Leadership Training Camp, motivated participants at Best Buddies Day and encouraged athletes at the Halloween Pub Run. Most recently she was selected Volunteer of the Year and was presented with a plaque at the Best Buddies Jacksonville Friendship Ball.
