“Spending time with Adriana has been a blessing. She always has a smile on her face and she's just a wonderful person. The Best Buddies program is so special because it brings people together. I'm so glad to be Adriana's Best Buddy.” - Michele Fernandez, Citizens Program Participant
Best Buddies Day is Best Buddies Florida's premier community event which brings together Best Buddies participants both with and without intellectual disabilities and their families, as well as businesses throughout the state. The results are walks, bowl and dance-a-thons with a special twist: carnival-style activity booths designed by participating school chapters accompanied by a picnic lunch and entertainment.
Held annually in March in conjunction with Best Buddies Awareness Month, this annual Best Buddies Day event raises both funds and awareness for Best Buddies, an international non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment. All proceeds from these local events directly benefit Best Buddies programs in those areas. View our map of program locations across Florida
