Participants in Best Buddies Broward’s 2010 Best Buddies Day Walk and Friendship Festival will be treated to a delicious lunch provided by Pollo Tropical. This annual event, held on March 7, 2010 at Brian Piccolo Park in Cooper City, will be a fun filled day of festival activities showcasing the program participants in middle and high school chapters across Broward County as well as the adult Citizens program.
After the Friendship Five-Lap, and in between visits to the chapter and community booths, over 400 Best Buddies Day attendees will enjoy a hearty lunch of rice, chicken and beans.
Best Buddies Broward is thrilled and grateful for Pollo’s Tropical’s generosity and support and hope that this will be a tradition for Best Buddies Days for years to come.

Whether you like to bowl or walk, Best Buddies Florida has an event for you! Best Buddies Day is our premier annual community event which brings together Best Buddies participants with and without intellectual disabilities and their families, as well as businesses throughout the state. Each event includes a walk-a-thon or bowl-a-thon with a special twist: “Double Decades” themed carnival-style activity booths designed by participating school chapters accompanied by lunch and entertainment.
Best Buddies Day is held annually in conjunction with Best Buddies Awareness Month, raising awareness about our mission while also celebrating the friendships that have been made possible through our six programs. All proceeds from these local events directly benefit Best Buddies programs in those areas.
