Best Buddies Challenge

Best Buddies Orlando is continuing to receive excellent support from its sponsor, Classic Audi. On May 17th, the auto dealership hosted and underwrote the Classic Audi quattro Cup and raised $5,600 for Best Buddies Orlando. They will also be the presenting sponsor for the 2010 Toast & Taste benefit on October 23rd.
In addition to underwriting the event and posting marketing flyers that will promote the partnership, the dealership is holding the event in its showroom! The open space environment promises to be a great venue for food, fun, and most importantly, friendship. Best Buddies Orlando is grateful to Sunil Prakash and Classic Audi for their continuing support and looks forward to our upcoming event. |

Best Buddies Florida Invites you to Join the Circle of Friends Volunteer Corps. |

Best Buddies Florida has always greatly benefitted from our dedicated group of volunteers in each of our five office locations. Without the assistance from volunteers, we would not be able to carry out our most important fundraisers, special events, and activities. We truly value the time and commitment of our volunteers, and have decided to create a Circle of Friends Volunteer Corps in order to streamline these efforts.
Each of our five office locations is constantly searching for volunteers to assist with planning special events, programmatic activities, solicitation of support and donations, and most importantly- just lending a hand when we need it most! Beginning in the Fall of 2011, we will be hosting Friendship Walks across the state of Florida, and we will need volunteers to be Team Captains, as well as assist with recruitment of these walk teams.
Helping Best Buddies Florida prosper and grow takes the involvement of a whole community! Some other ways for community members to get involved are joining a committee, sponsoring an event, assisting in our offices, joining a local Advisory Board, and even just spreading the word about our fundraisers!
If you are interested in joining the Circle of Friends Volunteer Corps in any of our five office locations, please contact Tiffany DePanicis, Development Coordinator for Best Buddies Florida, at tiffanydepanicis@bestbuddies.org or (904) 296-0510. You will be asked to fill out a volunteer profile so that we can determine what your interests are, the hours and dates you are available to assist, and how you can get started! The information will be passed to our area supervisors, and you will be contacted about upcoming opportunities.
